Meteorologist and Extreme Weather Journalist
Simon Brewer is a Meteorologist and Professional Storm Chaser known from several television series, web films, and documentaries, including 4 seasons of the series, "Storm Riders" on The Weather Channel. Simon has documented over 500 tornadoes, 35 tropical cyclones, and thousands of supercell thunderstorms in 22 years of chasing. He successfully documented the 3 widest known tornadoes in history, which includes the infamous 2.6 mile wide 2013 El Reno, OK monster wedge. Other documented extreme weather events include 2018 CAT 5 Hurricane Michael, 2012 Superstorm Sandy in NYC, 2005 Hurricane Katrina, November 2014 Buffalo, NY record Lake Effect Snow event, 2011 Southeast USA world record Super Outbreak, and the January 2016 Historic Mid-Atlantic Nor'easter.
Simon was born and raised in Dayton, OH, and acquired his Bachelor of Science Meteorology Degree from the University of Oklahoma. He continues to crisscross the USA, and travel internationally to document and report on the most extreme weather events on Earth.
